    3. I'm a native of the Boston, Mass. area. Yes, Natick is a suburb of Boston, and there were tons of Canadians all over the Boston area. My dad and all 4 grandparents were from Nova Scotia, and my mother's parents (Rev. Charles Wesley Allen & wife nee Malinda Burton) lived in the Boston area too. So did my other grandmother (nee Elizabeth Maria Hatfield called "Bessie"), after she was widowed, and her husband, my paternal grandfather, Rev. Peter Stewart MacGregor, graduated from Andover Newton Theoloogical School in Newton, Mass. Rev. Allen also attended Andover Newton. We also had family friends in Natick, Mass., called Roy and Virginia Millet (spelling?) and their daughter, Celeste, back in the 40's, 50's, and 60's. I know I have a distant MacKinnon cousin living in Natick as well, but I'm not sure of his first name. For those who desire gifts in her memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framinham, Ma. 01701. I had a very hard time connecting this family. Eventually I believe I have found their line. I will give the lineage and maybe someone will recognize the names and may be able to help prove it. I only had the Massachusetts vitals to go by. PETER J. PETITPAS (on his marr. rec. it was Joseph Peter) m. 10-12-1938, MARY L. GRIFFIN d/o Patrick J. & Mildred E. (Morrison)Griffin. Both were born in Cambridge. They had 4 children. When his fist son Joseph Paul was born that is when the name seems to reverse. His Parents were SAMUEL P. PETITPAS m. ANNIE TURBIDE on their childrens births they put Canada as their birthplace. They had 11 children. Samuel's brother it appears was FRANCOIS PETITPAS m. OLIVE LAPIERRE They lived close to each other. Francois & Olive had 6 children This is what I believe is the line they come from. FIRMIN PETITPAS m. MELANIE ARSENEAU I only have the 2 sons above FRANCOIS PETITPAS m. CATHERINE BUGARET When asking for info from on of the sons (P.J./J.P would not answer) he claims to be from Louis Benjamin but he was not ever sure who is own grandfather was. He claims to have a piece of paper that mentions citizenship. I believe I have a copy (though not very good) that only mentions a safe passage from Chezzetcook to Boston for Louis Benjamin. So a mystery still remains, if I am right or not. All comments and info greatly appreciated. Kay Petitpas

Mr. Chisholm was born in Nova Scotia on December 25, 1843, and passed away at the age of 78 years, 1 month and 19 days. He came to Wisconsin when a boy. One daughter, Alice, died about six years ago. The deceased was an upright and honest citizen who was well respected and liked by all who knew him (Paynesville Press, 2 Mar 1922).

    2. Hi Joe, I am just a lurker, still on the search of my elusive Grant family. Anyway to your question, I think it would be great to add the board postings. I belong to a couple of other lists and both do that. Yes, sometimes a bit confusing but still may come up with additional info or \ help someone else with their search. Have a great day.
