    3. Hi List, This message is especially for those who find themselves connected to my extensive family tree. I have started to post some family pictures on the tree and I am interested in receiving pictures from anyone who is willing to share their family mugshots with me. I am also interested in pictures of locations, businesses, or activities in the St. Joseph's district. Also, if you have a favourite story of folks from the St. Joseph's district I would love to hear from you. I am trying to collect as much information as possible on this area before it is lost forever. If you have anything, even if you don't think it is very interesting, I would like to know. Looking forward to hearing from you. 1. St. Joseph's Baptism's
    2. Marleen Hubley
    3. Hi List, I have received permission to transcribe the records from St. Joseph's parish, Antigonish County (pre-1904 only), and began that process in January. It is a long and slow process as I have to make the trip to Lochaber where the records are being kept. Also, this is winter in Nova Scotia. When completed the transcribed records will be available in Excel format from the Museum. I have started with Baptism's and they begin in November of 1859. The parish at that time covered an area including Marshy Hope, James River, Addington Forks, Beaver Meadow, Ashdale, Gaspereaux Lake, Glen Road, the Ohio's, St. Joseph's, Keppoch, Ireland, Lochaber, Copper Lake, Sherbrooke, and Wine Harbour. As I complain about all the snow this winter I imagine Fr. MacGillivray on horseback making his rounds over such a large territory. I have over 500 baptisms up to January 1873 completed. If you are looking for a baptism/birth from St. Joseph's during that time period (and you're willing to be patient) I will try to help you out. 3. ----- Original Message ----- From: Gordon A. Watts To: Canada Census Campaign Sent: Wednesday, February 02, 2005 4:08 PM Subject: Post 1901 Census - Resumption of Parliament Greetings All. The House of Commons of Canada resumed sitting on Monday 31 January and the Senate resumed sitting on Tuesday 1 February. While Senate debate on Second Reading of Bill S-18 is on the daily Order Paper, and will remain there until it has been dealt with, no further debate on the Bill took place at this time. Bill S-18 remains adjourned in the name of Senator Noel Kinsella [of New Brunswick] and until he speaks to the Bill or withdraws from it, no further progress will be made. The Honourable Senator Kinsella was in the Senate Chamber yesterday and spoke to other Bills. However, he made no effort to resume debate on Bill S-18. We continue to hope that he will resume debate on Bill S-18 as soon as possible. In the mean time it is important to continue seeking the support of our Parliamentary Representatives and to collect signatures on our petitions. Happy Hunting. Gordon A.
