G'day I am searching PATERSON/GOLDSMITH/LYNCH in Annapolis & or Nova Scotia. I have been lurking and learning from both lists. Keep up the good work. After Christmas I hope to have something to contribute. I really suspect that I also need to look in the Massachussetts (hope that's the correct no od s-es) list. Have a wonderful Christmas with much family interchange. Anne Maye In case someone is browsing over the Christmas period .. I am interested in any information on the families of a Catherine GOLDSMITH who was married to an Owen LYNCH. I do not know for certain that they were natives of Nova Scotia but their daughter Suzannah LYNCH ( born c1832) married 1 January 1852 at Annapolis John PATERSON who was in a detachment of the 42nd Regiment (Black Watch) stationed there. They left soon after that for England where John went off to fight in the Crimean War. This family eventually migrated to Australia. The LYNCHES in Nova Scotia may have had a sheep farm according to oral tradition. Suzannah was reputed to be an excellent horsewoman. There may have been connections with Boston in USA according to oral tradition. Suzannah was supposed to have had a relative who had a glassworks in a place called Copelands (? William Lynch Glassworks) in USA. Anne Maye
