Hello, My posting is quite long, but it may be of interest to someone, and it will help the postings...Starting with John Clark who was 84 on the 1881 Census for New Caledonia Annapolis and his wife Margaret who was 66 a Baptist and was English. (second marriage for both) his sons Andrew and Alexander Clark were also included on the 1881 census for New Caledonia Annapolis with their wives Sarah Leatch and Augusta Sprowl plus their children. Recorded on the Stoney Beach Cemetery Granville was Alexander Clark d 1906, his wife Augusra d June 1897 with sons ThomasClark 1854/1907 Ernest Clark 1867/1936 James Clark 1859/1937 On the Litchfield Cemetery . Andrew Clark's son John Andrew Clark(e) with wife Maude Mary 1877 to June 1930, no mention of death date for John Andrew Clark. Lena ,Andrew, and Netti were the names of their children,Netti was born 1901,there were probably other siblings. Isabell Clark b 1830 Granville and Mary Ann Clark b 1836 were the sisters of the above. Isabelle Clark and James Leatch both of Granville Parish married 1853 at All Saints ,her father John Clark 's 2nd marriage to Margaret Holden took place same Church two years later in 1855,he was from Lower Granville Annapolis, he was about 60. Margaret and John Clark had one child Edna Ann Clark b 1857. The saga grows when Edna marries Edward Wilson........about 1879 and have five daughters in Litchfield, other places were Hillsburn and Delaps Cove. I would like to end by wishing you a very Happy Christmas, and a big thank you to the people who help others like myself to find our connections, even if we do ask the same questions. I should mention that Andrew and Alexander,MaryAnn,and Issabell Clark's brother John Clark came to Melbourne Australia as a single man of 28years in 1852/3. He later married and had 15 children. Bye for now Tess Kane Clark
Tess Sorry it took so long to get back to you, but 'tiss the season to be really busy! I was reading your note here and a thought popped into my head. (scary isn't it) My aunt says her grandmother's name was Maude, although it was Margaret (Mussells) who was married to John Clark. I am wondering if through the passage of time and in print that Margaret (Mussells, not sure where Holden comes from or was that her maiden name?) would be referred to Maude? Therefore some of the records may be misleading and Maude is really Margaret. Oh my what a tangled web they left behind. Just FYI that Edna and John along with their 5 daughters also had 2 sons. Seasons Greetings to all of you for a safe and happy holiday.
