Greetings All. Since posting my letter to the Prime Minister this morning I have received a number of messages asking permission to copy my letter with the name of the requester in place of mine. To simply do this would, in my view, make it appear that a form letter had been prepared and sent out, and the effect would be to reduce the impact of the message. I encourage everyone to write their letters to the PM. If you want to send him a copy of my letter, that is fine. It should, however, be sent intact with my signature on it. When doing this, include a cover letter using your own words to express your support for the position stated in my letter. Anyone may feel free to forward anything I write regarding the Census issue to wherever they feel it may be of help. Happy Hunting. Gordon A. Watts gordon_watts@telus.net Co-Chair, Canada Census Committee Port Coquitlam, BC http://globalgenealogy.com/Census en français http://globalgenealogy.com/Census/Index_f.htm ================================ PLEASE heed Gordon's request!! If you copy HIS letter, your efforts would be wasted -- File 13 very definitely! I have suggested "putting in one's own word" the various dates and other data Gordon has mentioned. However, please do your own letters -- even a peek at the scoreboards would provide information for several paragraphs. If using e-mail -- that is alright, as long as you print the e-mail and post it as well -- after you add your signature!!! Should anyone wish a copy of Gordon's letter for BACKGROUND information, please contact me -- but copy only TITLE and ADDRESS.
