Is there anyone on the list who can do an obituary lookup for me? I have two John McANDREWS who died in Port George, Nova Scotia. I'm trying to determine if they are the same person, or if they are related.. Info on one comes from his headstone in the Port George Hillside cemetery. It shows that he died on 6 Jun 1896. He has a wife named Eleanor who is buried next to him. She died 30 Sept 1884. I think this is the father. The second comes from a newspaper clipping that my uncle has. It talks about a John McAndrews who was keeper of the lighthouse in Port George. He died at age 79 and has two daughters, Martha and Jennie. His wife took over the lighthouse upon his death. Unfortunately for me, whoever cut out the clipping didn't keep the source info, so I don't know which paper it came from or on what date. Does anyone know if the archives of the papers serving Port George are available? I couldn't find anything online and I've tried dozens of obituary sites, so far with no luck. If someone has the ability to look up the obituary for the 6 Jun 1896 death, then I should be able to figure out if they are the same person, or perhaps father and son. Thanks for your help.
