Sandra: If the John McAndrews who died in 1896 has a wife that died in 1884, it is not likely that she took over from him at the light house. John McAndrews, who was married to the Christina who died in 1903, is most probably the son of James McAndrews. It is very probable that he remarried to the Katherine E who is also buried at Port George, and the father of Herbert, buried there also. The local paper here would be the Middleton Outlook, but there are very few copies before 1900. Just a few scattered copies in the 1890's. The Bridgetown Monitor was published during the 1890s. But normally during those years you would only find a death notice, if anything at all. Not sure if this helps. Ric
