We are looking for the burial place of Nathaniel Barnes (Barns) and his wife Annis ___? Nathaniel was born abt. 1710 and first appears in Harpswell, ME, US about 1733. He migrated with wife, several daughters and two sons to Annapolis County, NS about 1760 and settled in Granville. He died in June,1785. Children: Henry, brn 1/11/1733, Merriconeague, Cumberland Co., ME. remained in Harpswell, m. Mary Alexander. Both died Harpswell, he between 12/23/1773 and 3/13/1774: Mary dd.1/16/1809. William, brn abt 1738, ME, USA Elizabeth, brn 7/25/1743, North Yarmouth, Cumberland Co., ME, USA. She married Joseph Milbury, on 5/06/1764 in Annapolis Co. Hannah, brn, 1745, ME, USA, died Belleisle, Annapolis Co. NS She married Job Young, 1763, Annapolis Co. Sarah, brn 3/27/1746, North Yarmouth, Cumberland Co., ME, USA. She m. (1) Samuel Chute in 1758, Annap. Co., & (2) Dr. James Lynam in 1787, in Annap. Co. Nathaniel, brn Jan 1749, North Yarmouth, Cumberland Co, ME., USA May have been Nathaniel Jr., m. Mary "Polly" Haynes. He appears in several NS deeds, but records now place him in US Rev War vs King, residence Trenton. May have had wife and family in NS before marriage to Haynes. Annis, brn, 8/13/1751, North Yarmouth, Cumberland Co., ME, USA. She married Moses Ray. Spencer, brn 1755, Harpswell, Cumberland Co., ME. USA bapt. in infancy 3/02/1755 re Harpswell church records. He married Jane Troop. Alexander, Milbury, Young, Lynam, Chute, Ray, genealogy - some in Annp. history and W.E. Chute book of 1904, with errors. More of their gen. now on various surname websites. (1) We are interested in book which is said to describe Barnes family home in Granville, Annap. Co., NS, with possible illustration, (rendering or photo). (2) Also finding burial information on Nathaniel and Annis. (3) Contact with current descendants to exchange information. Hello Eugene, I have an Alfred BARNES born circa 1850 married to Annie [ ? ] born circa 1851. Their children (as far as I know) were: 1) Alfred b. 1870; 2) Beatrice b. 1872; 3) Edith b. 1875 d. 6 April 1935 m. Abner D.Troop 19 Frb 1902; 4) Annie Evaline b. 1877 m.
