Hi John, I am directly descended from Edward White. He would be my gggrandfather. As you mentioned he was married to Freelove Mcbride. My line continues as follows: Edward, John, Minard, Donald {my Dad}. To go back, from Edward, his father was John and then notorious Andrew White, supposedly the New England Planter who was granted land in Granville in 1765. I have been studying this man for many years and trying to make a documented connection with Granvillle Andrew to a Sudbury Ma Andrew to a Marshfield Ma Andrew White who was a dieect descendant of Pilgrim Peregrine White. To date all is circumstantial. N.S. Andrew's wife is named Sarah as is Sudbury Andrew's wife. Sudbury Andrew served in the Sudbury Militia in 1755- 57 . Sarah Raleigh White of Sudbury,Ma was the daughter of Phillip Raleigh and Susanna Joiner. Phillip left his family in Sudbury and went up to Antrim , N.H. and was the first settler there in 1744. He built a house and I suppose would bring his family later but after a year was driven out by indians and so returned to Sudbury. He did return to Antrim15 years later with his family. I thought perhaps Andrew and Sarah might have gone along and their oldest children might have been born there as there are no records in Sudbury of their births. Antrim town clerk just wrote me saying no records there either The above info regarding Phillip is found in Cochrane's History of Antrim, N.H.
