Edward Talbot, Loyalist, was evacuated from NY to NS and settled in Annapolis County in 1784 along with Elizabeth, his wife, and 3 children. In 1800, Elizabeth and her 3 children were back in NY (per 1800 census). I assume Edward died sometime between 1790 (1st US census) and 1800. Are there any church records or any other type records that may give me information on Edward's death? Any help would be very appeciative. Thank you. Karl MacEachron Fresno CA
You might want to try the Loyalist mailing list. There is a lot published- mostly lists -of Loyalists who were given land in Canada after the revloution. "Loyalist Lineages of Canada" is a book published by UEL Association and has lists of Loyalists lineages researched by some descendants. You might find him there if someone else researched that line. Online at ourroots.ca is the following book that has a list of Loyalists The whole book is searchable. Look in the Appendix: "The centennial of the settlement of Upper Canada by the United Empire Loyalists, 1784-1884 : the celebrations at Adolphustown, Toronto, and Niagara ; with an appendix containing a copy of the U.E. list, preserved in the Crown Lands Department at Toronto" Also the Annapolis GenWeb has many of the cemeteries transcribed in a database and it is searchable by last name. Maybe you can find him there. Just looked quickly at Annaplis GenWeb and he's not in the cemetery but try looking at Abstracts from the Court of Probate Records for Annapolis County, Nova Scotia by Wayne W Walker at http://www.widomaker.com/~gwk/abstract.htm You might find his will.
