If anyone can help me, I am looking for information on my great-grandmother, Isabella Williams, who married Ansley Elliott on Nov. 24, 1869 and lived in Port George, Nova Scotia until her death in 3 Oct 1900. According to the marriage certificate Isabella was born in Canada (present day Ontario or Quebec?). Her parents were John and Julia Williams. We think that she may have gone to school in Westport, Nova Scotia. The children of Isabella and Ansley were: Annie Elliott m. Leonard Schafner Samuel Elliott Lucina (Lou) Elliott m. Mr. Vroom and Mr. Perry Bessie Bell Elliott m. George Reagh Frank Elliott m. Ella M. Chipman (my grandparents) Joseph Elliott Thomas Elliott m. Ida Young Lizzie Elliott m. John Anderson I am particularly interested in any information about Isabella's background. Where she was born and anything about her parents/ancestry. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Does anyone have any information on the family/descendants of Captain Frederic Williams, mentioned in Savary on page 91? He married Eleanor Pell and was a Loyalist who came to Annapolis about 1782 and then moved to Digby area in 1785. I am trying to connect him to a John Williams who married a woman named Julia (born about 1820). They had a daughter Isabella Williams born about 1850 who married Ansley Elliott and lived in the Port George area. -- Harcus Hennigar
