Hi Tess, I'm sorry that I can't help you with John S. McKenzie but my husband is a descendant of John's aunt Eleanor McKenzie who married Thomas Sproul(e). I have this family only as far back as Alexander McKenzie and Mary Wilkins so I would be interested in corresponding with you about this line if you are willing.
