Victoria Beach apparently used to be known as Andromeda in 1609 (named by French). The name was later changed to Victoria in honour of Queen Victoria. Does anyone on this list know more about Andromeda, its inhabitants, history, etc.? And....why did they choose the name Andromeda? I live in Lequille NS but no one around here seems to know about this area prior to the late 1800's. Sherry
