Sorry, my Burts/Burtts that I research are Loyalists who left Connecticut in 1783 at the close of the American Revolution and went to Saint John, New Brunswick. However their ancestors including Benjamin and Sarah Belden Burt, were married in Deerfield, Massachusetts, and later taken in captivity to Quebec by the French and Indians. After being delivered from captivity in Quebec they returned to Massachusetts, returning first to Deerfield, but then on to Ridgefield, Connecticut, from whence two of them, Benjamin Burt, born 1741, and David Burt born 1749, both sons of Seaborn Burt, born in 1706, at sea, on the way back to Massachusetts from captivity in Quebec, became members of the British Forces in 1774 or 1775 during the Revolution, and at the end of the War went to Saint John as Loyalists. I have no Evelyn Fish or J. W. Burtt in my data base, but I suspect we all come from the same Henry Burt who arrived in Boston about 1639, and went to help settle Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1640.
