Hi Mike, Thank you. I am looking into information on Margaret Elizabeth Hawksley, his possible sister. According to the 1880 census, her father was born in Canada, her mother in Ireland. So if Margaret and John are related, then their grandfather may have been a loyalist, perhaps. Once I have tracked all the info I can on the descendants of Margaret Hawksley and Isaac Adams, I hope to get in contact with someone of that family. But it looks like I'll try to head up to Fredericton in August!
