Looking for an Alexander Goodine, born September 11, 1845. He was in Victoria County in 1881 through 1901 but there is nothing found in 1851 Victoria when he should be about 6 years old. I strongly suspect he came from York County as did other Goodines that relocated to Tilley area, Victoria County. Thank You in advance.

Surnames: Tripp; Ogden Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4NC.2ACE/1257.1.1 Message Board Post: Thank you for your reply. Peleg and Jane spent most of their lives in York County. The arrived as Loyalist in 1783, rec'd land originally in Queensbury County, sold it and then moved to York County and founded Tripp Settlement. I was wondering if anyone out their might be researching the same line and came across the same lack of supporting evidence regarding information considered "facts" as it relates to this family. Peleg most likely died in Tripp Settlment sometime after he deeded his land to his son Peleg Jr. in 1820. Jane died in Kewick Ridge (Douglas or Bright Parish??) in March of 1854. I do not know if there was a will for either, perhaps that is how all of the children's names were ascertained. Unfortunately, the children were born almost 50 years later than what is commonly assumed. I have been through everything available on line through PANB, however, distance prevents me from actually doing some reserach in the other materials. I was hoping to find someone local, researching the same family who would be willing to share information. I have a good deal of information regarding Peleg and Jane and their children. Where I need help is in researching for more information on their arrival and perhaps their death to further identity and support some things which are only "hunches" at this time. Thank you.

I believe they married in NB, since it seems both received land as single persons. I believe that I know who some of their children are, however, internet info is ALL wrong on dates, etc. Are there any reliable sources, does anyone have any information on this family? Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Ann Tripp Key

Stanley, York Co., NB 16JAN1846, d. 20MAR1925, m. Stanley, York Co., NB 10DEC1875 Bertha Brown (b. 15MAR1855, prob. d. York Co., NB 20MAR1901, just before the 1901 census), d/o Joseph and Hannah (Cook) Brown. In Stanley Parish, in 1881, Thomas ‘Sanson’ (b. ca. 1846) lived with his father, James, and siblings. With him was Bertha (b. ca. 1855) and two possible children: Maud E. (4) and James F. (2.) In the same place in 1901 Thomas Sansom is given as b. 16JAN1846, and is a widower. Children were: Ethel (26MAY1876), Fred (6MAY1878), Pearl (son?, 21AUG1884), Hannah (13SEP1886), Mary A. (25MAR1891), Jessie (12JUL1894) and Eliza (5MAR1898.) From this, it would appear that Ethel was Maud E., and that Fred was James F.; further suggesting Maude Ethel and James Frederick as their given names. Children of Thomas and Bertha (Brown) Sansom noted at the PANB vital statistics database: Mary Ann Sansom b. Stanley, York Co., NB 25MAR1891 Jessie Thorburn Sansom b. Stanley, York Co., NB 12JUL1894 Eliza Summerville Sansom b. Stanley, York Co., NB 10MAR1898 (discrepancies with the 1901 census are not uncommon, and the birth records are more likely correct.) Maude Isabel Sansom m. York Co., NB 4JUL1917 Harry Biden (b. 16OCT1877 in 1901, living in Stanley Parish), s/o _____ and Annie (_____) Biden. Henry T. Biden (16OCT1877-28JUL1955) is buried in the St. Thomas’ Anglican Church Cemetery, Stanley, York Co., NB. With him is buried his wife, Maude Isabel (16MAY1882-26JAN1924.) So far, it appears that Maude Isabel Sansom could not be a daughter of Thomas and Bertha (Brown) Sansom. Maude appears to be the Maud Sansom, b. 16MAY1883 (the headstone is more likely correct), d/o John (16AUG1848, 1849 on headstone) and Sarah (25APR1851) Sansom of Stanley Parish in the 1901 census. According to a birth record for a son (not named, and not in 1901 census, but apparently Earle C. 1889-1890), b. 1889, Sarah was Sarah Clarkson. John and Sarah (Clarkson) Sansom did have a daughter, Minnie (b. 1JUL1874) in the 1901 census. Buried with John and Sarah, in St. Thomas’ Anglican Church Cem., is Minnie B. Turnbull (1873-1950), and G. Moore Turnbull (1876-1954.) Since it is specifically indicated that the burials are together, not merely in the same cemetery, then it would appear that the Minnie B. who m. G. Moore Turnbull (b. 26MAR1876), s/o William and Charlotte Turnbull, was their daughter. Therefore, Minnie and Maude were sisters.
