I see many New Brunswick families, including Ward (Robert Ward & Charlotte Sanderson, Buchanan (Thomas Buchanan and children), McDonald, Hull, and more. Many census and marriage records give parents' names, for instance 'Jameson' the maiden name of the wife of the first Thomas Buchanan (born 1836 Ireland).

Dormant and Extinct Peerages by Sir Bernard Burke, hardbound, reprinted 1985. Includes dormant, abeyant, forfeited and extinct peerages of the British Empire. The original publication of this work appeared in 1883. Since then nearly 2000 Peerages had succumbed to extinction. Descendants of these Noble Houses, whether in the female line or a collateral line, must total in the tens of thousands today. 642 p. 2. Extinct and Dormant Baronetcies by John Burke, Esq. and John Bernard Burke, Esq., hardbound, reprinted as second edition, 1985. King James I instituted the order of the Baronet in 1611. In the 230 years between that date and 1841 nearly 1000 Baronetcies succumbed to extinction or dormancy. Those who enjoyed the honors of this distinguished order, however, left numerous connections. This work set in alphabetical sequence the lineage of each of these nearly 1000 holders of the order of Baronet at the time or extinction. 644 p. 3. Visitation of Ireland by Crisp – Howard, Six Volumes in One, hardbound, reprinted 1973, 872 p. 4. Irish Landed Gentry by O’Hart, hardbound, reprinted 1969. Includes the Irish and Anglo-Irish Landed Gentry, 773 p. 5. Irish And Scotch-Irish Ancestral Research, Volumes 1 and 2 (a set) by Falley, hardbound with dust cover, originally published 1961. This is a massive compilation of source records pertaining to the Scots who settled in the north of Ireland and their descendants in America. It is, thus, the bedrock on which all Scotch-Irish genealogical research must build. 6. Irish Pedigrees by O’Hart, Volumes I and II (a set), hardbound, 5th Edition reprinted 1976, 945p and 896 p. Irish Pedigrees; or, The Origin and Stem of The Irish Nation – John O’Hart, Associate in Arts, Queen’s University in Ireland; Fellow of the Royal Historical and Archæological Association of Ireland; member of the Harleian Society, London. “The two Volumes contain all the Irish Genealogies and any other interesting matter bearing on ancient Irish history which we have met with in our life-long research.” This set is a MUST HAVE for historians or anyone researching Irish roots. Volume I (in 2 parts) is comprised of “the genealogies of the families which branched from that ancient stem; together with the territories possessed by the ancient Irish families in the twelfth century; a Chapter on the “English Invasion,” and another on the “Cromwellian Devastation” of Ireland. 9D The lineal descent of the Irish royal family; families descended from H! eber, Ithe, Ir, and Heremon; the principal families of Munster, Ulster, Meath, Leinster, and Connaught; and much more are covered. Volume II (in 2 parts) is devoted to families in Ireland from the 11th to the end of the 16th century with the counties in which they were located; Anglo-Irish and other genealogies; and sections on the Huguenots, the Palatines, and the Ulster Plantation. The Hy-Niall Septs of Uster, Meath, and Connaught; the O’Melaghlin family; the Clan Colla; and much more are included. Extensive appendices augment this massive work, and both volumes conclude with a surname index. Volume II also contains a general index. Email me at: Beau7777@comcast.net
