The surname would have been Johansen or a variation. Known is Elsa Johansen (Johnson?) born 1912? in Fredericton to Gustav Adolph and Ingaborg (Engaborg) Johansen (or variations). Gustav and Ingaborg were m. 1907 in St. John's N.B., and Karl (Carl) was the first born, so his date of birth would be between l908-1911. Any help would be greatly appreciated, sincerely, Denise

Have visited Cameron Hill for both my wife and I have folks there - in my case Carson {MacKinnon}. Did not look for Hovey for our studies have expanded so much that we had to draw the line. Checked the site "automated genealogy" for census data 1901 and 1911. Johnathon and Christina do not appear in Northumberland County nor in N.B. Perhaps you have located them in this period {U.S.A.?} Called up N.B. Archives site and found:- Christina Hovey died April 29, 1919, age 88, at Fairley, Northumberland County. As I said, not much help. If you wish to contact me directly use karlmac@nbnet.nb.ca Good luck in your search. Karl
Greetings from New Zealand. I am seeking any descendants of Alexander E BOYLE (born 1881) and Violet A FOLEY (born 1896 London, England). I believe Violet could be my grandmother's sister. Violet went to Canada in 1913 at the age of 18 and married Alexander later that year. (Registered in Sunbury County). Alexander died in 1956 and Violet in 1960 and both are buried in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery Extension. A son (name unknown) came to NZ during the second world war with Canadian Forces and visited my grandmother, Ellen Grace Coffey (nee FOLEY). I would appreciate any assistance. Thanks Theresa Murphy

There isn't a record of him at the Cemetery in Fredericton?... so the record for him in Kent Co. is right.. there is much confusion over this person. William John McIsaac was born John William Gamble - his Mother died shortly after childbirth and he was raised by his Mother's sister.. she already had a son named John so they switched his given names and he went by their surname. Family story did have him buried elsewhere than Kent Co. even though there is a gravestone for him.. hence the confusion... that's why I was searching for the obit. I was hoping it would clear up the confusion and it did... with your help. Happy New Year, and thank you again, Shirley
