    2. Hi lists, I have received an e-mail from a pjcooper@nb.sympatico.ca with the subject of "McMulkin info" I had sent a letter with my Great Grandfather's name in it & the letter I got from pjcooper has a pic in it & a file attached. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever received information like this from pjcooper before. I haven't opened it & I'm going to delete it but before I do I want to know if maybe there's a chance that it's an ok file. Thanks in advance Betty Collins South Carolina

    3. The following Baptisms and information was taken from microfilm F8508 (NBA) which is Parishes of Prince William and Kingsclear; Baptisms, Marriages & Burials 1792 to 1815) Page 1. June 12th, 1792 Baptized, William, the son of Jonah & Mary ALLEN, Born the 18th of Oct. 1791 Page 3. July 27th, 1794 Baptized, Aron, son of Jonah & Mary ALLEN, Born 9th of July, 1794 Page 5. October 19th, 1797 Baptized a son for Mr. ALLEN, James, Born 23rd day of September 1797 Page 8. July 5th, 1800, Baptized Mary, Daughter of Jonas & Mary ALLEN, Born 16th of October, 1800 There is an entry on the film for The Parish of Prince William dated Sept. 15th, 1803 which is a "List of the Communicants of this Church". It shows Jonas ALLAN & Mrs. ALLAN as having been removed from the List. This could be around the time the family moved to Kitley Township, Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario. I believe Jonah & Jonas to be one and the same? I believe James to be my 3rd great grandfather but because the way the baptism is recorded, will take another source to verify this. Would like to hear from anyone researching the above ALLEN family. Willing to share what information I have mustered to date. The above parishes are located in YORK COUNTY, New Brunswick. Ross C. 1. Fw: Prince William Community Cemetery
    2. Ross &/or Maureen ALLEN
    3. On a recent tour of the Maritimes I was able to spend a morning at the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick in Fredericton. In the Book of Inscriptions for the Prince William Community Cemetery, there is the following entry: ALLEN: Mary E. d/o William & Patience McAdam (surname Allen from cemetery map) I have assumed that there is no tombstone. Would anyone know who I may write to try and find out the burial date of Mary. My ggggreat grandmother was Mary Allen who resided in Prince William Parish and I would like to see if it is her interred in this Cemetery. From information I have collected so far, she may have passed away in the late 1700's. The caretaker in 1983 was a Mr. Philip Moore but assume he is no longer looking after it? Any information certainly appreciated. Ross C. Allen DRYDEN ONTARIO E-MAIL: - rallen@dryden.net

    1. John Edward McMulkin
    2. Hi Lists, I'm looking for information about my great grandfather John Edward McMulkin. He was born in East Canada March 16, 1855 or around that year. He immigrated to the US on April 12, 1882 at Ogdensburg, New York. For some reason I want to think he's from New Brunswick. That is why I'm posting this on all the NB lists. I'm Hoping someone might recognize the name. He married Josephine Catherine Back on September 25, 1994 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Croghan, Lewis Co. New York. They had one child, Violetta Catherine McMulkin (my grandmother). She was born August 6, 1895. Grandpa John was a lumberjack up in Northern New York. If anyone has any information I would love to hear from you. Thank you in advance, Betty Collins

    1. John Fraser & Elizabeth Murray/Prince William Parish/1800s
    2. Ardell Lynds
    3. I am new to this list and am looking for additional information on the Thomas and John Fraser families of Prince William, Southampton and Dumfries Parish, York Co. I am looking for John Fraser and his wife, Elizabeth Murray in the 1851 and 1861 census. In 1871 John Fraser, b. 1801, was living with his son, S. John Fraser, in Prince William Parish. According to the Southampton Parish in 1901 census which lists his daughter, Rebecca (Fraser) Lockard (wid. of Patrick) she came to NB from Scotland in 1833. She was only a young child, about 10 yrs., so it is quite likely that the family all came together about that time. In 1901 Rebecca was living with her son, William Lockard and wife, Ellen Lynds. John had a brother, Thomas Fraser, who came to NB in 1819 and resided in Pokiok, Dumfries Parish, York Co. Would like to correspond with any descendants of these families and share information. Regards, Ardell Lynds

    2. Donn Robinson
    3. Hi fellow listers, I'm searching for any information for ISRAEL WEST born 1802, Kingsclear, York, N.B. He married JOANNA MANUEL 17 June 1830 in York County, record states he was a resident of Kingsclear, York, N.B. and Joanna was a resident of Queensbury, York, N.B. Joanna Manuel was born 1 Jan. 1811 in Queensbury, a daughter of ANTHONY MANUEL JR. and ELIZABETH ROSS. Israel and Joanna show up in the 1860 census of Ashland, Aroostook County, Maine with their children. I hope SKS can give me some direction/advise on how to find Israel's parents and siblings. Is there a history of the early settlers of Kingsclear available? I beleive he may have been the son of Israel West, Loyalist, 2nd New Jersey Volunteers who was awarded a land grant in Kingsclear in 1799 and also a lot of block 2 of the Col. Isaac Allen grant in 1784. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you for any help you can share. Donn Robinson
