    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: dougayer Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.canada.newbrunswick.westmorland/167.305.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: You may have noticed the website I referenced also has the 1901 census. Here is how to get the 1881 census of Canada. Go to www.familysearch.org. At the right under "Start your Family History" click on "US British and Canadian Census Indexes." See where it says "Census All", click on the down arrow and select "1881 Canadian Census." Enter the name you are searching. You can narrow your search by also selecting "New Brunswick" for "Census Province" and "Westmorland" for County/District. When you get some hits, click on the name and it will take you to the census. Click on "household" to the right to see the family. The 1851 census is available at the www.automatedgenealogy.com site. If you live in the Dorchester area, visit the Archives at Mount Allison University in Sackville. They may have copies of the "Cemeteries of Westmorland County" recently published by the Southeastern Branch of the New Brunswick Genealogical Society. In this series of books you can search for your ancestors who are buried in the County. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
