I have been able to find my g grandfather on the N.B census for the Dorchester Parish, Westmoreland. His name is actually listed as Aldore, and as Aldard, not Alphonse which was what I thought originally. I have found that Aldore was born June 29, 1900, and the birth dates of his sister Edmee/Edmey, his sister Belle/Bessie, his sister Clorida and brother Donele Melanson. I believe the brothers were carpenters? I have also found that their parents (my g g grandparents) were Anselme Melanson born March 1 1868, and Bella Melanson born Oct 27 1863. Do you have any clues to where Anselme fits in the Melanson history? I'd like to go even further back, any insights at all would be great. thank you for all you help!!!
