Author: jonallinghamny Surnames: Allingham Thompson Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.canada.newbrunswick.westmorland/4725/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm trying to locate information on my ancestors: Hugh Allingham & Mary (Maria) Thompson who were supposedly married on 23 Feb 1841 in Dorcester Parish, Westmorland Co, New Brunswick, Canada. Note that Allingham is sometimes also written as "Ellingham" Hugh was an immigrant from Ireland. Date of immigration is unknown. Hugh worked in the lumber woods and the lumber yards of St. John's. If anyone has access to information on this or can point me to where I can enquire for details I would greatly appreciate it. Ideally I'd like to find a copy of the marriage certificate or equivalent in order to attempt to identify the parents of Hugh and Mary.
