I receved a response from someone who is a direct ancestor of the father of Elizabeth Somers, whose name is quoted as Robert Somers. Awaiting more information from this source. Milford Goodwin's son Arnold Austin Goodwin is my cousin by marriage, unfortunately he and his wife are both deceased, so impossible to get data there. I went through all the Nova Scotia records I could find to find any link for Samuel Goodwin/Gooden/Godwin and hit a brick wall.There are several Goodwin families in Yarmouth, Halifax & Colchester Counties, and another researcher from California and myself were trying to find a possible link with these families. However, although the familes appear to have originated in England, many generations back, each family appears to have resided in the USA in various states. One in Massachusetts,another family in Kittery, Maine and others in points south & west. Again I thank you for your kind response, I will take some time and digest the info. you sent.
