He was born on 9 May 1865 in Advocate, N.S., and was a widower. He was a blacksmith for 60 years, last working in this occupation in 1940. His parents were Edward Clarke & Jane Mills, both born in Nova Scotia. The informant for the record was his son, Charles E. Clarke of New Salem, Cumb. Co., N.S. Burial was to take place in Advocate, N.S. on 4 June 1945. Death record also for Ella Marion (Ward) Clark, who died 8 June 1934 in Springhill, N.S, of lobar pneumonia. She was born 17 Aug 1862 in N.S., d/o Charles Ward & Hannah Hazel, both born in N.S. Her husband William Clark was the informant for the record; burial to take place in Advocate on 10 June 1934.
