Milford immigrated to US in 1891. She had four children but only three were living. In the 1920 and 1930 censuses of Arlington, Middlesex Co., Mass. Minnie is shown as a widow. I find Milford Goodwin in the 1871 census of Westmorland Parish, age 5 years with the family of Samuel E. Goodwin, age 38, and his wife, Elizabeth, age 29. They appear in the 1881 census of Amherst Shore, Cumberland Co., NS Roy Read Goodwin, their first child was born 5 Nov 1891 in Somerville, Mass.; Lloyd L. (recorded as Kloyd L.) was born 26 Oct 1895 in Winchester, Mass.; and Reta was born 13 April 1897 in Winchester. Hartley is found with her husband in the 1891 census of Westmorland Parish, Westmorland Co., NB. She was 21 years old and he was 25. Minnie Vivian (Read) Goodwin was the daughter of Eliphalet Read and Phoebe A. She appears in the 1881 census of Botsford Parish, Westmorland Co., NB.
