Trying to locate information on his first wife, possibly Mabel HELM, daughter of John and Sarah (FITZPATRICK) HELM. 1901 census in Windsor Forks, Hants NS has a Malus Devarne, with wife Mabel and son Frederick. 1911 census in Botsford, Westmorland County has Melace Devarren with second wife Mary (who he married in 1908-PANB), son Frederick, daughter Mabel and his father. Joseph Melas Devarenne's death appears on PANB. Got his obit, but it lists nothing about a first marriage, and have been unable to find anything on Frederick or the daughter Mabel to check for a mother's name.
