I suppose if I put the right name it helps much better eh? I had just been working on my Harrison file and still had the name stuck in my head. You are right, he was Barker. I really appreciate you giving me a time frame for Lillian (especially since I had you looking for the wrong names in the first place)! Again, my apologies and my appreciation! William was buried in Elmwood in 1953 and according to his funeral announcement, was buried in the "Family Lot". Looking for any dates so I can track down death notices. Our local library doesn't have a copy of this book so I am unable to check for this information myself. About two years ago, you had e-mailed with information pertaining to Rachel Clarke, born 5 May 1833, daughter of this couple. She is my gg grandmother; married Charles Sears. You had written to me that John Charles & Sarah Clark(e) had 6 other children. They were: 1. Mary Ann, born Feb 1825 2. Elizabeth Jane, born 1828 3. Francis Maria, born 1837 4. Sarah, born 1841 5. William, born ??? 6. Edward Charles, born 1843 Do you have more information about each of these siblings that you could share with me? It would be much appreciated -- the whole Clark(e) gang is still a big mystery for me. Thanks. Dawn 4. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Clark. I am hoping that this is my great grandfather. If either of you could confirm or deny the fact that he died in New Brunswick and the year/age he died, I can check it against the information that I have. He married 18 november 1905 in Westmorland to ellen Gillespie. I think he died around 1964. He was born in England in 1878. According to the census he did have a brother name Thomas and his father's name is william. His cousins name is George Ackhurst. This is the Leonard Wilbur that I wanted to find out about. I was hoping that the obituary would mention the name of his wife, and more importantly the name of his first wife who I am most interested in. I have a marriage document that shows he married Jane Chapman on Sept. 4, 1897. The record indicates that he was a widower. However I have not been able to find any records that show the name of his first wife. I assume it occurred around 1880? Again, thanks for your help. Checked the Saint John paper and only came up with a blurb about his brother asking for an inquest. Finally found it in the Fredericton paper. Assuming it is your Leonard Len. Wilbur, a well known resident of Telegraph street, Moncton, was stricken with hemorrhage of the brain Tuesday morning and passed away Wednesday morning about 6 o'clock without regaining consciousness. Deceased, who was forty-eight years of age, was a son of Abram Wilbur and carried on a meat business in the city at times. Deceased was around town Monday night and appeared to be in his usual health. Source: Daily Telegraph Aug. 27, 1903 Page 7 The notice concerning the inquest: Shep. Wilbur, brother of Len. Wilbur, who died suddenly Wednesday morning from what was reported by his medical attendant as hemorrhage of the brain, applied to Dr. Purdy Thursday to hold an inquest. Dr. Purdy found nothing to sustain the suspicion of the brother that the deceased had met with foul play and accordingly decided an inquest unnecessary.
