Ballard, buried 31 Oct 1905 age 70 years [via Wm DRYDEN] - not sure what the annotation "via Wm Dryden" means I think I found the Ballard family in 1871 in Dorchester parish. Anne Balard, age 43, is a widow; there are 9 children living in the household, from James, age 21 to Edward, age 1. If you want me to transcribe that for you, let me know. The 1881 Census lists the widow Anne Bollard living in Moncton next to her brother William Carroll. William Carroll is buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton. Can someone check to see if Robert and Ann Ballard were also buried in Elmwood ? Their oldest son James Ballard died 1 July 1880 at Moncton. Not that I can prove that she was part of this crowd, but there were Wilburs amongst the early settlers of Rhode Island. Maybe she had family there?
