While doing research yesterday, I found a death registration for Annie (Burnyeat) Robb on the New Brunswick Vital Stats site - date of death was listed as September 17, 1942, place of death Madawaska County. Interesting that you have her being buried twice - I wonder if she was moved? I do not have a subscription, so cannot email you privately. Could you send me an email? black@sunwave.net Thanks you again. I appreciate all the help I can get. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Edward's wife Marion L King born 1888 buried May 13, 1953. Jean Robb married T James Scott. Jean born 1888 and buried June 13, 1967. Her husband T James born 1886 buried Nov 17,1945. The records I have home here are somewhat conflicting in that it shows Annie Burnyeat Robb as being buried Sept 19,1942 but being buried again in Oct 1961. I guess I will follow up with a call to Elmwood cemetery on your behalf. There are others buried in same plot as James, perhaps parents or more children of James you have not mentionned/known about. I don't otherwise have access to the 1861 or 1871 censuses (censi?). Jane was baptised in 1795 (in Kilburn Yorkshire), was recorded as 55 in 1851 which fits: she should have been abt 65 in 1861, 75 in 1871. Her stone inscription in the Upper Sackville cemetery seems to read "In memory of Jane wife of George Lund Native of Yorkshire England Died Dec 15, 1878 Aged 87 yrs Erected by James Manship & Daniel Lund Jr" which would put her birth around 1791. But the stone is barely legible, it could read aged 83 years which would fit better. Perhaps there are transcription errors in the census data, or she was less than accurate reporting her age. Frances "Fanny" (Lund) Manship was born in 1835, Bliss in 1853, James in 1856: Araminta we're not sure about but at least these records are more consistent for her, ie b abt 1858 (she married Nathaniel Hicks Jr in 1877). William and Clinton were twins, born September 23, 1866. All we know about John Manship is his name. He was most elusive, does not appear in any census but fathered children with Fanny between 1853 and 1866. Reportedly he came from England. At least one of his offspring went to Maine (James), perhaps he did too. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Surely he must be the son of Adam King, the Loyalist of Delancey's 1st Battalion. His 1798 petition for Kings County, with -Michael Knowland (who settled at Sussex), -Jonathan Barbarie (?Captain John Babarie of 1st and 3rd New Jersey Volunteers, who settled in Sussex Vale, and whose daughter married Major Richard Witham Stockton, 6th NJ Volunteers), -James Hugg (?Hogg, master of the Loyalist transport ship Lord Townsend), -John Pennell (?), - __ Stockton, might point a way to his identity and origins. Have others investigated this, or seen the original petition? I don't believe he is a descendant of Hezekiah King, who was pre-Loyalist.
