I believe that the James who married Mercy Babcock was a son of the James I am looking for. That would make him the brother of my 4x great grandmother. I would love to know what you have about him and would be happy to share the info I have found on the Bray's. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am looking for any clues to the seemingly disappearance of many children of a Richard and Katherine MOORE who originated in P.E.I., but were in Shediac from 1855 forward. They had a family of 13. Katherine died in Shediac in 1887 the death report stating "left eleven children". Richard was found with a married daughter in 1911 in Moncton Twp. His later death has not been found. Based on the 1881 census the following children, all born in Shediac, have not been found anywhere since. If anyone has any clues I would be most appreciative. I'm working on my husband's Bourgeois line and have hit a snag that I hope you may be able to help with. Looking for the parents of Arselas (Selas) Bourgeois married to Marie Leblanc. I've found Arselas in the 1901 census for Dorchester parish listed as Cilose born 1875 and I have found him on the 1911 census listed as Celace Y. I have 2 obits, one with the name Arselas and the other Celas but my problem is can't find him in the 1881 census - have looked for every possible first name with no luck. He married Maried LeBlanc Sept. 18, 1900 (name on the marriage register is Selas) and their daughter Zelma married to Hypolite Cormier was my husband's grandmother. Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks very much sandra Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Is anyone researching this family? Jonathan was the s/o Ebenezer and Martha Grace Cole. He was b. c 1791 in Sackville and he d. Apr. 14 1872 in Dorchester. He married Sarah Wade Dec 28 1815. They had 10 children: 1) James Valentine, 1816 - 1883, m. Nancy Barnes; 2) Mary Ann, 1818-1907, m. Alfred Dixon; 3) Michael Grace, 1820-1882, m. Mary Weldon; 4) Ebenezer, 1821-1851, m. Mary Ann Cook; 5) Frances (Fanny), 1824-1892, m. Hantz Atkinson; 6) Rufus, 1825-1911, m. Kathryn Wry and Dorcas Snowden; 7) Ruth E., b. 1830, m. William Stiles; 8) Emily, 1834-1870, m. Asa Read; 9) Martin, 1835 - 1926, m. Sarah Crossman; 10) Albert, b.1838, m. Arabella Wood. My main interest is to find out more about Sarah Wade. She appears in Sackville/Dorchester, but seems to have no parents or other family associations. It has been suggested that she was part of the Yorkshire immigration but there doesn't seem to be any record of that either. Another unknown is Margaret Wade. She married Ebenezer Cole as his second wife in 1810, making her a step-mother to Jonathan. She was b. c 1783. Was she a sister to Sarah? There are no records for her either, until her marriage record. Margaret had three known children, Edward Cole, b. 1815, Olivia Cole, b. 1817 and Silas Cole, b. 1818. I'm a descendant of Edward. Margaret has been a gaping hole in my genealogy fabric for many years. After trying many avenues, I thought I'd try to find out something about Sarah and PRAY there was a connection. Any help would be most gratefully appreciated. Bette Wing Byron NY USA
