The other branch went early to New Jersey. East Jersey English settlers were largely from Long Island. It may be that the the name Orange in your family is derived from being in the Oranges region of New Jersey which is where this branch of Ogdens were. I don't have any listing for Orange or Vibbert but most of my interest in Ogden has related to the Rye branch. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Rovilla Beers -- Children: Edward Furman Ogden (26 Apr 1890-13 Sep 1897); Emily Louise Ogden (24 Sep 1891 - 1956 unm.) Annie Ogden m. James Ross Ayer -- dau: Mabel Ayer (1871-1956) m. Fred G. For most users, the best thing is to go to a Service NB Land Registry offices - or contact one. But basically, as of early in 2009 ALL land registry documents for all counties are now databased. The indexes for all grantors and grantees are also entirely digitized. The fee for use at the Service NB Centres is (I believe) $15 for a half day use. Apparently only those with PLANET accounts can use the system from home computers. For a press release from early in 2009, read this: http://www.gnb.ca/cnb/news/snb/2009e0007sn.htm The point for genealogists is that in a very short time one can both check the indexes for names of interest - and do so for many different counties at once. Then the actual documents of interest can be retrieved immediately - even if one is interested in some land document in Gagetown and one is in Sackville, etc. Tom Moffatt
