    1. RE: Where to get obits from newspaper archives?

    3. Dear Liz : Thanks for the information. This leads to me 2nd question: Despite the fact that my family lived in the city of St. John for nearly 50 years and my gr-gr grandmother alone gave birth to 11 children there, I have found NONE of my family members listed anywhere in the PANB records ON-LINE for births or deaths. In light of that, what am I likely to get from them with regard to birth, death, marriage or burial information? Stupid Question: Do they have additional records that aren't listed on-line? Thanks. I appreciate the reply. Hi Beth I've had microfilm of Saint John newspapers on interlibrary loan from the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick--check with your library to see if you can get them in the U.S. I know my library here can't get interlibrary loan from the U.S. I'd have to say the detail contained in the obits was minimal, however. Have you checked into burial permits for the City of Saint John? They are available from the PANB ($5/copy) and are quite detailed at times. You can get details on-line at their website.
