Agnes SMITH (b. 1832, Glasgow, dau. of Mary LYELL and James SMITH of Mauchline, Ayrshire) in St. John on Aug. 16, 1850 by Rev. John Thomson. Andrew and Agnes SMITH JACKSON had the following children, all born in St. John: Helen Armstrong JACKSON (b. St. John, Aug, 1853) m. on Aug. 16, 1850 by Rev. Dr. Waters to Gilbert M. Hevenor (b. 1853) Mary L. JACKSON (b. 1854 d. May 1866 age 12) Agnes J. JACKSON (b. 1858, d. 3/4/1883, age 25) m. on 11/26/1879 by Rev. Dr. Waters to William J. FRASER, St. John William Henry JACKSON (born after 1851, died before 1871) (Janet) Jessie JACKSON (b. July 15, 1865, d. May 12, 1942) m. William B. BATEMAN in Salamanca, NY 1884 James JACKSON (b. 1867) John F. JACKSON (b. 1869, d. after 1942, Passaic NJ) m. Lena SHAW Archibald Andrew JACKSON (b. 1871, d. 1910) Mary L. JACKSON (b. 6/1872, d. 3/13/1873, age 9 mos.) Robbie JACKSON (b. 3/1874, d. 10/27/1879, age 5 yrs. 7 mos.) Archibald JACKSON (Lancaster) m. Elizabeth WALLACE, St. John City, on 10/28/1852 by. Rev. Ferrie Andrew JACKSON was a carpenter who died in a fall from a roof at age 51, leaving his wife Agnes a widow at age 43 with 7 children, 5 of whom were still at home!
