    2. Larry & Beverly
    3. Does anyone know what this resource is? Or have access to it? I have a marriage that supposedly is documented in the source Yesteryear Marriages, Reg D: John Mumford to Frances Allen, 17 May 1848. But the quote of the reference is very confused, it says Portland Valley Church and St. Paul's. Are these two churches or one church? Happy Hunting! I'm researching Stilwells and Elsworths from the Grand Lake, Queens County area, but am currently attempting to locate Wm & Emmogene (Mark) May who married in 1861 and are then said to have settled at St. John. When in the city a few weeks ago I did find a Wm May in the city directories, on Sheriff 1888-1891. They are said to have had an Emmogene and a Francis. Ross W. McCury

    3. Dear Liz : Thanks for the information. This leads to me 2nd question: Despite the fact that my family lived in the city of St. John for nearly 50 years and my gr-gr grandmother alone gave birth to 11 children there, I have found NONE of my family members listed anywhere in the PANB records ON-LINE for births or deaths. In light of that, what am I likely to get from them with regard to birth, death, marriage or burial information? Stupid Question: Do they have additional records that aren't listed on-line? Thanks. I appreciate the reply. 1. PANB ONLINE INFO
    2. harrypat
    3. Good Morning all! Everybody had enough snow yet? I certainly have! Are the BMD records posted on PANB online complete? Are all the marriages that occurred in that time frame listed there? I have been searching in vain for a marriage between Edward John Boone & Alice Louise Driscoll, which probably occurred in the early 1900's, 1907 at the latest I would expect since that is when their first child was born. Since both these folks emigrated from Newfoundland I even checked there for a marriage but can't find a thing. These folks lived in St. John and were members of the Portland United Church. Edward is buried in the cemetery there. I'm VERY OPEN to suggestions as to where to look next because I am totally baffled! Pat Marshall Nova Scotia

    3. Donna and to the list, In my opinion if you have just a general question of no specific location or a specific Carleton or York Co question the appropriate place is the NewBrunswick-L@rootsweb.com list or the county list for Carleton or York. However, if you have a query that probably took place in St. John Co, but may have happened over the line in any other close county, where records could be in multiple locations then please feel free to post on this list. Our ancestors sometimes lived on one side of a county line and shopped, worked, and registered their births in another county. Donna, thanks for asking! Hope I answered the question. Happy Hunting! 3. Gary, No I don't. As I said in the last emails, I am stuck at a brick wall of John Alexander "George" MUNFORD who m. Frances Caroline ALLEN 17 May 1848. He obviously died bef 1866, as she remarried in that year. I am trying to persue the theory that he might be the eldest child of the William MUNFORD b. Abt 1797 Canada and d, 11 Apr 1873 Saint John, who m. Barbara HEFFLER on 23 Apr 1820 Saint John. The basis for the theory is that many of these marriages showed up in my Grandmother's notebook of family dates. Their known children appear to be: William George MUNFORD b. Abt 1830 Daniel John MUNFORD b. Abt 1832 Stephen MUNFORD b. abt 1835, m. Mary J. SNIDER/SNYDER 16 Apr 1877 Saint John Ann Louisa MUNFORD b. 16 Nov 1840, m.
