I am still trying to figure out how to do a better job of searching, tying records together, etc. but I have a rather pressing need to know if anyone knows where William Pride (b.1753) and/or Jean Smith Pride (1757-1827) may have been buried. These would have been the parents of the Edward Phillips/Alexander Pride we are researching. I may have an opportunity to be in the area of Bo'ness and would like to see if I can find a gravesite but I am not very knowledgeable yet about finding records. Any info, help, guidance is appreciated. Anita, to answer your last question, I don't think we have looked for records where E.Phillips became APride. With a surname of Phillips and having all heard the same family story, we are fairly certain of the direction. I am unaware of any documentation of the name change. Not sure what we might be looking for. Any suggestions? Do you have any suggestions for searching Scotland records? I think there may be a library in Edinburgh.
