Subject: William Mclean, Mirimachi , NB, born abt 1817 NB or Scotland Looking for my William Mclean family of Mirimachi, born 1848, father William Mclean, came into NB in 1817-1823 time period from Scotland, married Margaret( Mary) Campbell in 1840's, found the family in the 1851-61-81 census. Family includes Jane, Margaret, Nancy, Elizabeth, Agnes, Archibald and John. William Jr came to Vermont in 1870, work as a lumberman. Married Mary Gardner in 1880 in Brunswick, VT, he died in the early 1909. Trying to find more about his family there, any other ties. Possibly William Mclean Sr is son of John Mclean( born 1786) who came to Mirimachi from Annon, Dumfies, Scotland abt 1816.His family as far as we know are possible sons Thomas, Adam, William,James, George, David and John, daughters Mary, Elizabeth, Jean and Fanny, some born in Scotland, some perhaps born in the Mirimachi area.
