Bert Beattie is the widow of John Beattie; her daughter Vera Beattie Sweazy live in Moncton. James/Jimmy Beattie died last September 2002 in Dieppe (SP?) near Moncton. There are Beatties in Moncton who may have gone there over the years from north of Kouchibouguac (not necessarily connected) who live near Magnetic Hill. There is also a Walter Beattie from the Rexton Beatties--a former police officer. He still has a sister in Rexton or Richibucto and family but married and with a different name. I have those names somewhere. There is also another sister. Mrs. Beattie, age 90 or so, still lives in Rexton or Richibucto (I get them mixed up when people live on the line...of the two towns. My Beatties frequented Richibucto and Rexton but they are now limited to me and my brother and sister and our children. My brother and I live in Maine and my sister in Kansas.
