Last weekend I visited a lot of cemeteries in Brighton Parish with Fred Burnett (in Rockland, Cold Stream, Peel, Stickney). We found a very few Clarks -- James and wife Margaret, who may be my great great great grandparents in the Regular Baptish Cemetery in Rockland-- below the hill toward the west of the Hillside cemtery in Rockland) and one Sewell, Thomas and Jane, my third great uncle, brother to Olive Jane (Sewell) Clark, in the Upper Brighton Cemetery. Are there are there some smaller, "hidden" cemeteries in Brighton Parish where I might find Clarks, Sewells? Of course we found Mansfield Clark in the Stickney Cemetery where many Hoveys are buried next to Lawrence Hovey's huse (he is the uncle of my deceased cousin, Ivan Sherwood of Stickney, then Bristol, Carleton, CO and then tcarborough, Ontario. Thanks. Don Beattie in Maine USA.
Is there a transcription available for Upper Brighton Cemetery? I need dates of birth for Jane Bubar Sewall, wife of Thomas, and also for Thomas. I also need dates of birth and death for your Olive Jane and her husband, and her siblings. My descent is through Abigail Sewell Sutherland, sister of Thomas. I would really like to fill in my chart for Thomas and his siblings and their children.
