The first is of "Aunt Alma Swim Ellis, mother's sister" taken in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. The second is of "Jack Ellis, Aunt Alma's son" taken in Portland, ME with the name "Thomas Mc Williams" crossed out. These were found in Oconto county, WI with other photos from the same areas: "Mrs. Helen Richards" of Fredericton, New Brunswick; "Hon. Peter Michell" of New Brunswick; "Herbert Wade, mother's first beau" of Boston, Mass.; " Sarah LeBarm Drumm"; "Lyndi Palmer, Plattsburg Barracks" of NY or RI; "Dwight Amos Jones" of NY; and "Will Charlton, mother's cousin" of Portland, ME. Alma Swim Ellis was married to John Ellis and they must have lived in Portland, Maine. Alma's parents were William Swim and Caroline Amos of Doaktown, Northumberland, New Brunswick.
