Hello David Scott - re the MacMasters, believe Harold MacMaster was the barber who had a business in Newcastle in the 1930s. 40s and into the 50s, and possibly the 1920s. He was a contemporary of my father who was born in Newcastle in 1880. Both were firemen together in the 1920s. Harold must have been slightly younger than my father. Also believe the Janet MacMaster was Jennie MacMaster, a school teacher in Newcastle. She taught me. Jennie died a spinster. I do not know of Hazel. Suggest these folks should be in the 1881 and 1901 census for Newcastle.
