    3. In the 1901 Census I find David palmer and his wife Jane with their children Everett N and Elizabeth and David Ross born 21 Mar 1878. Jane was born 4 Dec 1848. There are two James Ross in Northumberland in the 1881 Census CD. One James age 1 from Blackville son of Thomas and Mary; and one James A age 2 in Alnwick son of Annision and Ann. I think this latter James is the one living with David and Jane in 1901. I first thought Jane was the widow of Annision Ross. However in the NB Late Births #1881-P-2 F18768 I find Janel Colaret Palmer daughter of David and Jane Johnston and the age of Ann in the 1881 Census is too young. Can someone confirm that Jane Palmer is Jane Johnston and tell me her parents. And who is this James Ross? TIA, bob gillis

    3. I cannot answer your questions but I found the following information that may tie in with your research. It is from "Cemeteries of the Parish of Ludlow" and on page 73 (the section on the Boiestown's Old Cemetery) there is the following: CLARK James Clark 1803-1875 His wife: Jane Johnston 1915-1894 Their grandchildren: Allen 1868-1875 Maria 1870-1875 Jane 1872-1875 Obviously, the date for Jane's birth ought to be 1815, not 1915 but I am passing on exactly what was in this book.
