My relative's entry in the Hutchinson Directory 1865 describes him as being in the Napan Settlement of the Black Brook community. Anybody have info as to where/what the Napan Settlement/ Black Brook area was, a map maybe? Thanks for any info you might have. Black Brook is an area on the south bank of the Miramichi River just to the north of Chatham. In the same general vicinity as Loggieville, Napan, Bay du Vin, Wine River. You can see it on the map on the "Mighty Mirimichi" website. Visit Chatham's Irish Festival in July & make a short side trip to Black Brook & maybe meet some cousins?
