Hi, I have the books as well. It seems though that there are no headstones for some who are buried in cemeteries there. I believe the information about the burial is cerdible seeing it comes from post-1920 death certificates. What I would like to know is if there are records independant of headstone transcriptions. Hello Bill - I can only speak to the cemetery at St. John and St. James United (formerly Presbyterian) in Newcastle. At the church office, there is a plot plan of the cementery which identifies family names where there are no headstones. Unfortunately, only the father or head of household is named. My great grandfather and grandfather are buried there without headstones, but there are no names provided for spouses or children that died young. Perhaps other churches in the area have similar cemetery plot plans. I suspect you would have to contact the church. Then there is the Miramichi Cemetery. I do not know about it. Good hunting.
