Also in Glenelg where Black River is the name of Ransberry appears......I could find nothing matching the other spellings at all......but the one in Black River may be the one? Let me know if and I can send them to you. Linda

There are quite a few Gallien in that area of the province . Odette Haché has copied the church records of the region i.e. baptism , death etc They are for sale in bookstores . You also can go to the Caraquet library. They may be able to direct you to the right persons for info . Also the Moncton University campus in Shippagan . Good luck in your search . ------Claudia

I think they lived in Black River in Glenelg Parish, Northumberland. Reinsburrow can also be spelled Reinsborough, Reinsborrow, Rainsburrow, and Rainsborrow.

Winnie Young born in Sept 1880 { Emilie Duguay in the Fall 1881 } wouldn't have been registered under the name Duguay in the census of 1881 since she was a 6 mo old baby living with her biological mother Basilice Paulin in Caraquet or { if I want to believe the family history } living with the Young family in or around Chatham- Newcastle . Someone told me that he found Basilice { Basilisse } Poulin { Paulin } registered in Caraquet on the Census 1881 with her daughter Lucille aged 3 yoa and a baby girl aged 6 mo named Mary { Marie } at the time that the census was taken . This info for the census was taken by a George Young in 1881 . For Family Tree purposes I would like to connect to the William Young family thus the need to find my ggma Winnie Young { Emilie Duguay } birth cert which may state her biological dad name . As for the adoptive family Duguay , I have that ancestral line to Fr! ance .The first Duguay family arrived in Shippagan . In 1875 many Duguay moved to Saint- Isidore and later to Duguayville also Tracadie etc I have the Saint- Isidore birth , death and mariage copied documents from early on . There are hundreds of Duguay since 1875 . I want to thank you again Cathy for your time and efforts . Please let me know if you ever find something else through your research . Sincerely Claudia

Strangely, there are very few Duguays in N.B. at all.I can only think the name must be badly mis-spelled. If you know exactly where someone lived, you can search the census page by page or if you are looking for an unusual first name, you can do that, too. I could never find my gg grandfather Daniel Cormier but I knew he had a son named Tilmon so I searched for Tilmon and found Cormiee which the search engine didn't consider an alternate spelling for Cormier. So I searched for Emilie and Winnifred and didn't find any likely matches although there was a Winnifred Morris in the Chatham area. I also looked at PANB. I did find something that must be a coincidence. Joseph Young was born Mar. 12, 1889 in Bathurst to James Young and M.A.Vienneau. Strange to have two of the same names you are looking for. Sorry and good luck.

May I suggest that you go at the library and ask for the book "Les familles de Caraquet" by Fidele Theriault? Or, perhaps you already read it? In that book there is a menton of the first Young family who came around that area. (approx. 3 pages). The William you're looking for seems to have established in Bathurst NB. You should also contact the "Societe Historique Nicolas-Denys". It's a historical and genealogical society. It's situatued in the basement of the campus of the University of Shippagan. It's mostly french refference books, but the people who works there are always willing to help. I'm sure you would find a lot of info. Good luck in your search! Nathalie Branch-Bernard
