He may have been born in Nova Scotia around 1785. He was in the 104th Regiment of Foot (1809-1816). He moved to Glenelg, Northumberland, New Brunswick sometime after he was discharged. He married Jane McDonald in 1818. They had four daughters: Margaret, Mary, Catherine, and Christine. I thinkd he died in 1827. I would like to know when and where Peter was born. I would also like to know the names of his parent. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They were married in 1832 in Bushville, NB and a record of their marriage appears in the records of the Anglican Church in Bushville. I would also be interested in any brothers, sisters or other relatives of either of them. John and Margaret moved to the Campbellton, NB area at some point and raised a family in that area.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/0NC.2ACE/442 Message Board Post: Looking for anyone who might have information on the family of Patrick and Catherine POWER of Nelson. I have the census entries and believe that Catherine died and Patrick then married an Elenor/Ellen O'Shea. I am interested in two of the children from the first marriage John and Mary A who I believe left the Miramichi after their Mother's death and moved to Stillwater WI. I have a marriage prior to 1881 in Stillwater for Mary A POWER of NB to William O'Brien of Derby NB. The couple had several children but unfortunately most did not survive to adulthood and the line there has died out. On the same census page in Stillwater I found John POWER of NB living with his wife Catherine born NB and their children. I believe John to be Mary's brother. I would welcome any information on the family, both those who went to Stilwater and those (including the children of the second marriage) who remainded in NB. Thanks

    3. The Village of Nipisiguit became the town (now city) of Bathurst in 1826. Bathurst is in Gloucester County, at the mouth of the Nipisiguit river. Gloucester County was a part of Northumberland County until 1827 when Northumberland was split into two counties. So your search should probably center around Bathurst, Gloucester County. The Village of Neguac is still located in Northumberland County, about 20 - 25 miles from Bathurst..
