On the 1901 census Thomas MILLER is listed as a Domestic in the home of James GRAHAM. Also in the home at the time is Pheobe WILLISTON, and her children Edward, Bartlett and Edith. In 1911 MILLER is listed as HEAD and WILLISTON is his Housekeeper. Does anyone know who Thomas MILLER was and if there was a connection between he and WILLISTON. I would also be interested in learning more about who GRAHAM was as in 1881, he had a Deb Chambers living with him that I'd like to know more about (I suspect CHAMBERS is connected to my REINSBOROUGH line). Thanks
Hello! Did you check in the Mazerolle Book? I know that there is a book on the Mazerolle family. You should check at the library. The Miramichi Branch of the Genealogical Society has transcribed the tombstones of Northumberland County according to parish. IF your relatives have tombstones they would be listed in their Chatham RC Book. They came to Canada in 1831 from Ireland. The parents of this family were James McDonald (born around 1801) and Julia Flanagan McDonald (born around 1810). She is sometimes listed as Judith McDonald. They had seven children who were all born in New Brunswick: George (born 1831), Patrick (born 1834), Maria? (born 1839), Ann (born 1841), Martin (born 1843), Bridget (born 1845), and John (born 1849). I found them in the 1851 and 1861 census. James died sometime between 1851 and 1861. George and Julia moved to the U.S. after 1861. I have followed them through the U.S. census and I know what became of them. I found Patrick and his family in the 1871 and 1881 Canadian census. I would like to know what happened to the other children. I would also like to know what part of Ireland they were from. Any information on this family would be appreciated.

Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.canada.newbrunswick.northumberland/1230/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Does anyone know Jeremiah (Jerry) Lanteigne of Loggievile? He was born December 1 1884. His mother was Mary Lanteigne born July 1847. He had at least two brothers Robert born Sept 27 1881 (wife kate)and Allen born May 29 1879. There may have been more siblings or half siblings as it is family lore that both his mother and father had had spouses before their marriage to one another. Mary did not re-marry after Jeremiah's fathers death. The family is present on the 1901 census for Chatham Parish Northumberland County but Jeremiah's father had already passed away, it is family lore that he drowned. He may have been a teacher. The family is strong Roman Catholic, lived next door to the RC Church on the "front road" in Loggieville. (Water street if you don't live in the area) Family lore says Jeremiah's mother was a Reich or McGraw (McGrath) Not sure which is her maiden name. I do not know the first name of Jeremiah's dad is for sure. Family lure says his name was Fidele but have not been able to locate any records for such a Lanteigne in all of New Brunswick. Jeremiah served in WWI where he was sent home early, missing an eye and an arm from combat. In 1917 he married a Marguerite (Margaret) or Maggie as she called herself, Robichaud from Point Sapin. They lived in Loggieville in the family home which is still in the family. His children were Marguerite, Theresa, Velma, Percy and Gerald. Marguerite was good friends with that lady fiddle player Matilda? Can't remember all the info. Any information would be very welcomed as I have tried every lead I can find at this point. Even if you think it might be a long shot I am willing to listen. I have done a lot of research about the Lanteignes. I know a fair amount about them and their history in Gloucester County but am unable to link Jeremiah to his past at this point without his fathers name. I am sure he was from Gloucester I just need a few more tidbits of info to connect the dots. I now live in Western Canada and am unable to do any research in the matter unless it is online. My grandmother, Jeremiah's daughter was a wonderful person as were her sisters, unfortunately I did not know the rest of the family. I think about her every day and she has been dead for 15 years. You don't meet people like that every day. I would love to be able to complete this research in her honor. Thank you for any help A.

I have posted a new search for any other info that may be available with the new names. Thanks again for all your help. bye for now, Lynne

I don't have the name of the place they lived or any other info. They both immigrated to Canada. They had a son named Patrick Evans born in Chatham, New Brunswick who married Mary Ellen Flemming in 1824 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Chatham. They had a son named John Evans born 1825 in Chatham. He married Johanna Gaynes b. 1824 in 1845 at St. Michaels Church, Chatham. They had a son named Lewis John Evans born 1855. Lewis John is listed as a widower in an 1880 census, and I don't have his first wife's name or where they lived. He later moved to Moncton where he married Sophia Delahunt(y) in 1888. He died in 1899 but I have not found his grave location. Any information is very much appreciated. I have been searching my roots for years and seem to be at a dead end now.
Is there anyone working on this family? I'm wondering if there is a known connection between James Holland b1796 in Ireland, emigrated June 1825 and the family of the widow Bridget HOLLAND b1795 Ireland emigrated August 1832. Thanks

I can't find your email address but if you send it to me at [email protected], I'll share the census entries with you (After looking at the 1851 and 1861 entries I think the relationship to Brophy may be step daughter).
