    1. [Northumberland Co NB] Edward Colford and Ann Doyle of Blackville NB
    2. Heggie
    3. Looking for information concerning the marriage of Edward COLFORD (parish of Ludlow) and Ann DOYLE (parish of Nelson) , married 2 January, 1825 in Northumberland Co by Samuel BACON, Rector, in the presence of William Doyle and James CODY. (F15488 pg 179, entry 826 at PANB). Is this the same couple listed in 1851 Parish of Blackville Census Returns? F1590, PANB, family 147. . In this 1851 census (microfilm at PANB) Ann's year of entry from Ireland to Canada is given as 1834, Edward's is given as 1820, while the Anglican marriage took place in 1825. Their given ages would match but the entry year for Ann does not. Any answer to this conflict of information? Who is William Doyle? Father or brother, perhaps? I find two Doyle families in the 1851 Census for Nelson. Head of homes are William and Elizabeth Doyle, (family 145), also William and Bridget Doyle, ( family 154). I would guess that William 64 and Elizabeth 60 could be the correct family. Lots of questions about this large family, any input or information would be appreciated. In behalf of a Colford friend, Marlene Heggie

She is my gg-grandmother. Our problem is there's no record of her death and we're in the dark as to her origins. We know she was bilingual and was at a ladies' seminary in Point de Bute in 1845, married John Sprague in Sussex in 1849, and moved to Coates Mills area in 1858. But who were her parents, or siblings? Now wondering if a Mr. Fowler might have married a French-speaking wife. Was that William Fowler who drowned married?
