A finding aid (which I think is the one you're referring to) and a County Guide at http://archives.gnb.ca/Documents/CountyGuides/Northumberland_en-CA.pdf (it's a PDF file and found under the research tool tab)--The County Guide gives a pretty complete listing of what is available. . I am trying to confirm BM&D dates from other sources. However I find many gaps in the records. Is there any web site with a concise description of what records are available for what counties? The document on the archives web site has so many links, find it hard to see the asnswer. What I have is an Archibald Campbell who was born about 1821 but no info on his father or mother. His father was named Archibald according to his birth record. He married Mary Dickson in 1853. I have pieced together that he has a sister Elizabeth (not sure of birth date). I also believe that he has at least one brother James, and possibly another. I believe he came to Napan in 1816 and applied for land grant there. Does any of this sound familiar to you? Any news would be great to hear. I recently transcribed several hundred entries for my own McGinnis line and I recall seeing your names of interest fairly often as I looked over many of the orignial records. I just found the marriage record for Patrick and Marguerite of 21 April 1899, St. Bernard's Parish, Nuguac. Greetings All. FYI, the latest issue of Gordon Watts Reports is now online at http://globalgenealogy.com/globalgazette/gazgw/gazgw-0114.htm Articles in this issue include the following: * Ancestors in the Attic seeks staff genealogist * Digitization projects * Library and Archives Canada and Ancestry.ca * RSS comes to Library and Archives Canada * New at Library and Archives Canada * Merry Christmas May I take this opportunity to wish each of you the merriest Chistmas, and most fantastic New Year ever. Whether you say 'Merry Christmas', 'Happy Hanukkah', or whatever other greeting your tradition or faith might suggest for this time of year, I wish each and every one of you the very best of health, wealth and happiness in the coming year. I wish for you, what you wish for me. If you are traveling to be with family or friends for the Holidays, as I will be, I urge you to do so safely. Take the time to arrive safely, and to return home the same way. A few minutes, or hours, difference in travel time is not worth the heartache and suffering that could result from being involved in an accident because you are in a hurry. Gordon A. Hi Aaron. I think we MIGHT be related through Joseph Ramsay & Elizabeth Rousell. I THINK (if it's the same Elizabeth Rousell) that Elizabeth married Patrick Lumsden after Joseph died. It was her 2nd marriage. If you look at the WW1 attestation papers & the 1911 census (Elizabeth is then married to James Patrick Lumsden. James Patrick Lumsden was my great-great uncle. Email me back if I have the correct family. I have an Ancestry membership & perhaps I could help. Judy
