Looking for information on the family of John CAIN and Betsy CARVILL (or CARROLL --the records are indexed as CARRILL but the handwriting is smudged and it looks more like CARVILL to me). John and Betsy were married in Nelson on March 7, 1843 Betsy Carvill d/o John and Jane, made a profession of faith and was baptised March 23, 1843 in Nelson. On the same day baptisms were performed for John CAIN age 7m, Robert Cain age 2y, Alice Cain age 5y and Anne Cain age 6y (all in Nelson). There is a second marriage record for John & Betsy dated May 8, 1843 (Nelson). This family does not seem to be on the 1851 census for Northumberland County and I'm wondering if anyone might know what became of them. My interest stems mainly from the witnesses (DILLON AND COLLINS) and a possible connection to York County. Debbi

Lucy was born July 1868. Parish records on Kent Co. genweb indicate that this date may be incorrect. It states Lucy born to Daniel Windle and Bridget Morrison was born Feb. 25 and Baptized on March 5. Witnesses were Daniel O'Leary and Mary Morrison. She died in 1946 and married John Clancey. Kent Co. records indicate a male child born to this couple on Jan. 11, 1888 in St. Louis de Kent. Lucy is Lucy Windle.In a post or e-mail years ago I was told the Clancey moved to Chatham and had originally been from P.E.I. I will see what I can do to help you.
