Two daughters were born in New Brunswick: Mary, age 25, and Jane, 23. The family was listed in household #183, North Esk Parish, Northumberland COunty, NB

In the 1871 census, there are young Gillespie children living with Thomas Sullivan and Mahalia Ann (Astle) Sullivan. I am wondering if they are the children of Theophilas Gillespie who died in January 1871. I am also wondering if Theophilas' wife, Maria, might have been a sister of Mahalia Astle. Can anyone help?
